The De Bortoli philosophy is to make wine that we love to drink. These are wines with character, imagination and a 'sense of place'. Heathcoate is traditionally renowned for rich premium Shiraz but more recently varietals like Grenache are being planted to give perfume and charm to the Shiraz. Dark fruits with raspberry aromatics, sweet dense flavours, soft tannins. Terrific with slow cooked lamb shanks.
