The Daly Road Shiraz Mourvèdre is a classic blend of two Rhone varieties
to create a wine of richness, elegance and poise. Deep purple with garnet hues
this wine is intensely perfumed with wildberry fruits, blood plums, sweet and
earthy spices and heady violet and cherry-blossom florals to create an intoxicating
bouquet. The palate is slick and spicy with fresh blueberries and blackberries,
Blackforest cake with cherry compote, cinnamon, sandalwood, French vanilla and
chocolate. The palate is rich yet silky-soft with supple tannins, incredible balance
and generous length of flavour. The soft, silky texture of the palate and symphony of
decadent flavours combine to create a wine of both richness and finesse that drinks
beautifully while youthful and vibrant, but will also delight as it ages and develops a
more savoury complexity over the next 5-10 years.
